It depends on the model of car. If it has broken apart, you might be able to pull the exhaust off the rubber joints and drive to the garage with out the exhaust under the car. Or if you tie it, make sure it is well attached to the car, other wise if it falls off on the way it could cause alot of damage. It should be ok to drive that far with out the exhaust workin, it will be noisy, just take it easy or get a mate to give you a toe.

Drive it, especiallyif you are young and cheeky you will get away with it. If you get stopped ( very unlikely) just explain you are driving it to a garage
Besides, what's your problem? Where I live, to have a noisy exhaust carries great prestige - among the young lads.....
just drive it!

How about the old bodge beloved of Del-Boy type car dealers of joining the 2 halves up using a cut down tin can & a couple of Jubilee clips, it's got me out of trouble in the past

I have had the same problem in the past. All I had to repair it was aluminum foil and duct tape. I wrapped the aluminum foil around the pipe then wrapped it with duct tape. I supported the pipe with wire and drove to the garage. Good Luck
