Hi, this is a question in follow up to two questions I posted a few weeks back re: where is my antifreeze going if it is not leaking out of my 96 Bonneville and a question re: airbag deployment for no reason.
GM finally came out today and had an estimate done for the air bag. From your answers re: antifreeze disappearing and a diagnostic test, the manifold is cracked. GM guy says that the air bag deployed because the passenger side floor is wet from a leak in the window or floorboard or something, (not because it rained and the windshield was broken from the airbag and the car sat in a parking lot for a week) and the air bag system is under that and it corroded, setting it off.
Now, I thought I remembered from an answer re: antifreeze that someone told me to check if the passenger floor was wet. All that to ask this, is he full of sh it? Is it possible for the floor to be wet because of the manifold? I mentioned this to him and he looked at me like I was stupid. Thanks!
