I was told it seperates in the tank, and that the 87 sits on the bottom, 89 on the middle and the 93 floats on the top. Any truth behind this?

Could it be the grey plastic thing on top of the linkage on the driver's side of the tranny? This is my first automatic, sorry if this seems obvious to many... Just want to check before I go crawling under the truck in this cold wet weather!

97 Lexus pearlwhite clearcoat. Thin black spraypaint in several spots, probably enamel, and wondering if there's some type of lacquer paint remover or compound that would remove it and not seriously damage the cars finish.?

I bought a used truck and there appears to be overspray on the bumper from when the previous owner had it painted. What is a good way to get this off? Thanks!

Hi, this is a question in follow up to two questions I posted a few weeks back re: where is my antifreeze going if it is not leaking out of my 96 Bonneville and a question re: airbag deployment for no reason.
GM finally came out today and had an estimate done for the air bag. From your answers re: antifreeze disappearing and a diagnostic test, the manifold is cracked. GM guy says that the air bag deployed because the passenger side floor is wet from a leak in the window or floorboard or something, (not because it rained and the windshield was broken from the airbag and the car sat in a parking lot for a week) and the air bag system is under that and it corroded, setting it off.
Now, I thought I remembered from an answer re: antifreeze that someone told me to check if the passenger floor was wet. All that to ask this, is he full of sh it? Is it possible for the floor to be wet because of the manifold? I mentioned this to him and he looked at me like I was stupid. Thanks!

I made a big mistake and tried to fix the car's starter on the dining room table. (OK, stop laughing guys, you've done it too!) But I got black grease on my wife's beautiful woolen white rug. How do I get it out? (Yes, it has smeared.) Yes, we are about to have twenty people visiting from out of state over the holidays. How do I get the grease out of the rug? (No, I did not fix the starter. I took it to a rebuild shop. Yes, the car does start.) Now the grease problem . . .

Replace the Front pads
Replace the Front rotors
Replace the Rear shoes
Replace the Rear wheel cylinders
Resurface the rear drums
a Hardware kit
and flush and bleed the brake lines.

The asking price is 700.00.......is this fair?

Hi, I have a problem with my 1989 Chevy S10 Tahoe not starting or starting randomly and even stalling sometimes while driving. When I'm driving it sometimes stalls and I press the gas pedal so it won't turn off but it sort of lacks gas or something cause it won't respond right away after I press the gas pedal. I had a friend check it out and he replaced the TPS or throttle position sensor I think is what it was and it would run real good. So after about 2 days it started doing the same thing. So he checked it out again and plugged some sort of small pipe that was exposed near the bottom right front part of the Intake and it would run again for about a day this time. So after that, I unplugged a pipe running from the intake to the brake system thing ( it's a big donut looking thing that's positioned behind the brake fluid deposit, I think they told me it was called the brake booster system or something like that ). So I unplugged it at the brake system end and it would turn on and run OK, not so well it would still stall at times, also the brake pedal was hard to depress. So I was just wondering what your thoughts were on this situation as I'm desperate to get this truck running. Many thanks in advance.
