To convert a diesel car to LPG(GAS)?I have never heard of such thing but my friend is arguing with me about this and is getting on my nerves!
If you can send me a link to some web pages about that I will be very gratefull!

you cant convert totally but you can have dual fuel.
so it can run on both.

Diesel ones work a bit different. Petrol / LPG cars can use either fuel. Diesel LPG cars use both at the same time. They can run on soleley diesel, or a Diesel LPG mixture.

It's effectively like buying cheap diesel.

I was going to answer a resounding NO due to the way a diesel's injection and ignition process works (LPG just seems completely unsuitable) until I read the posts from others who have seen it done.

I still have no idea how it could work safely and reliably, but obviously it does.

Just shows that we can always learn something new from each other. Outstanding!

Cannot be done , diesels run on compression ignition , LPG will not ignite itself it needs spark plugs you cannot convert desiels to lpg

NO LPG transference is for petrol engines

your friend is right!! dont know how it works but have seen 2 nissan terranos with lpg conversion, and they are definanlty diesels, i dont see how they work either!!

no you cant.... lpg is used as an alternative to petrol engined cars...as it is ignited like petrol....deisel is compressed to make it explode
