Someone told me it could be the amp, but I took the whole system out and its still dying on me. I also noticed my car alarm wont comepletly work from the remote and you need to keep holding the button for the power windows when before you just push it and it went up by itself....whats wrong with my car???

don't bother with a mechanic, go to an auto parts store and have them check your alternator output for free. Provided you don't get some high school kid checking it for you, you should be all set.

It could be a slew of things, but start with the alternator, then check to make sure all of your grounds are good. BTW alternators can be rebuilt farely cheap, so don't go the used route.

it sounds like the alternator might not be charging its full rate hence the slow die time on the battery. That wouldn't have anything to do with the alarm not working completely though. You need to get your electrical system checked for bad grounds, wires without a good connection, corrosion on wire connectors, and check the switch contacts for corrosion as well.

Have your mechanic check The alternator, belt tension, and the regulator. Death will come swiftly to a under charged battery.

Charging system not up too par. Should have 14 VDC when engine is running.
