I purchased a car from a dealer off of Ebay. This car is in great condition (2003 Mustang Conv with 9,000 miles). The part of the dealer's lot was under a large bridge with tons of large trucks. There are tons of little rust spots on the car from the brake dust falling on the top of the car. I noticed the spots when I bought the car, and told them that I would be satisfied if they were able to remove them from the hood. They used a power buffer and it came right off. I thought I could remove these with a little "elbow grease", but it is proving to be a huge job. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove these spots without damaging a perfect paint job?

Have the about car with nearly 95k miles; usually at around 65 the car goes from running very smooth, to a suddent vibration and noise that sounds similar to the rubber coming off the tire; however, no effect on steering and tires appear to be in ok shape; however, there are 16 inch on two front, and rear are 17. Now I am thinking that maybe this is causing a problem with AWD operation suddenly trying to kick in, or something. I have tried shifting into neutral at the speed with vibration occuring, but putting in neutral does not change the condition.

Hi all, It's down to -26^C here in Edmonton, and I awoke to find that my '91 sonata wouldn't start.

It turned over, and sputtered a few times, but wouldn't catch. I haven't had problems with winter starting before. The fact that it turns over seems to suggest a frozen fuel line to me.

Anyone have any solutions to getting 'er going?

The center cylinders4,6,3,5 have no compression. the others have good compression. I did a quick leak down test on cyl. 3 and found intake valve leaking. Engine is in a gmc 3500 with only 60k miles. What would cause this? And will a valve job repair it.

Hi all

I copied this question from an ealier post June 2006 as the description is 100% a good representation of the problem I have, same car, size and engine code.

Seat Ibiza 1.4 problem?
When i drive the car to a stop, like at a junction, the engine revs go very low before returning to normal, and sometimes the engine cuts out. When diving with the revs at about 2500 rpm, it seems to miss fire occationally.
I have replaced sparkplugs, leads, distributer cap and rotor arm.
I have also gone around i think all electrical connections.
The engine seems to rev freely and responsive, and nothing wrong with starting.
It is a 1.4ltr AEX engine, 1996 P reg.

I have axectly the same dangerous problem.
There were some replies of great interest but I am hoping if someone has got this fixed and tracked down the exact fault.

Any ideas will be very greatfully recieved
Regards

i have noticed that when i fill my car with gas it seems to react better in curves and just in general. when it is near empty it is almost on the sloppy side in reaction. i haven't only noticed this in my present car, it has always been an observation and i was looking for the reasoning. thanks!

I have received mixed answers on this. The reason I bought the car is because the salesman said it could be done aftermarket. Then I went to a trusted mechanic from Toyota and he said no. Can I put power locks on my car? How much would it cost if it can be done?

I replaced the valve covers on my 88 S-10 2.8 v/6.
They don't leak and the pcv is hooked up, etc. I found out that I put them on the wrong side. Do I need to change them? It's a pain. Thanks

I replaced the bulb under the hood with a bulb that "fits" but is not the correct number for the model of car I have (88 DeVille). The bulb does not work. Could it be the bulb (even though it appears to fit), or should I look elsewhere? How would you troubleshoot? Thanks!

1989 Honda Accord LX. 141k. During the winter I can get the car started and then suddenly it stops and dies. Whenever I try again, the Engine turns but that's all. Tried Jump Starting...didn't work. Only when it becomes warm again, or atleast 12+ hour later I tried jump-starting it again and it got started (that was only once). Whenever I take it to the garage, they just charge the battery and it gets started....they say there is no problem with the battery....I think they have no idea 'bout the real problem. Help!
