Occasionally my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee loses power in the dash and radio. Sometimes it's after using the signal or lights. After it has done this and you shut off the vehicle, it acts like it has no power whatsoever, anywhere. Sometimes it just comes back, but sometimes it takes a jump start. Battery and alternator have been checked out and are both in good shape. There's probably a short in the turn signal/light controls, but I thought I'd ask before taking it into the dealership. Thanks. jfr

I have a 1995 Chevy Cavalier 2-door coupe with the standard 2.2 liter engine. It has around 140,000 miles on it but it's been well maintained, regular oil changes, tune-ups, gas treatments, etc. Recently, every time I push that car up to 70 mph, It will lurch and then begin to decelerate slowly. No pumping of the pedal will reset it but it usually lurches a second time and the acceleration comes back on line by itself. The check engine light sometimes lights up when this happens, sometimes it doesn't. I've had it plugged into a diagnostic computer and it shows that I have a bad EGR valve and an air conditioner compressor problem. Also, the head gasket is showing signs of leaking. I'm considering repairing it, but no mechanic I've been to can tell me if fixing the EGR valve, AC, or head gasket will help. The labor for the head gasket is a little cost prohibitive given the age of the car. Has anyone had this type of trouble with a Cavalier and is it worth fixing?

My 1996 camaro has had its fair share of wiring meltdowns, which i have had fixed within the last 6 months... The headlights, taillights, and dash lights were all burnt out because of a meltdown. I am wondering, is this a fuse- because I checked both the turn b/u and the hazard fuses and they look fine? Help if you can ... please

My vehicle is a 1990 F150 s-cab 5.0L V8 with dual in tanks. I am trying to figure out if there is an inline fuse because I found an open circuit in a wire behind the fuel tank selector switch. I fixed it and now the truck just cranks over, nothing more. So I then did a test on running the fuel pump continuously with the engine off by grounding the fuel pump on the DLC connector. This test also failed. I also checked the inertia switch it turned out to be fine. I grabbed a volt meter and checked for voltage at the fuel pumps. I got nothing there. I am out of ideas. Any opinions or ideas greatly appriciated.Thanks.

The rear heating/cooling unit is having problems. It comes off and on occasionally. I checked the fuses and it is good. When it is quiet and I switch on the unit, I can hear something happen, but it doesn't activate the fan. It is wierd to the fact that it does periodically work. The last time it went "wierd" I had accelerated while climbing a steep hill. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. 2002 Chevy Express Van.....

And if they do what is the site? And if not what is a compatiable engine that is turbo charged, if so where can I find it? Any help would be greatly and immensely appreciated. Couple of days ago, my car while going smoothly suddenly stalled in the middle of the road...nothing was wrong, it seemed 'coz I didn't see any warning signs like Engine light or Battery sign showing up. After trying to restart it again-n-again, it finally started around 10 minutes later. But after driving couple of miles, this problem resurfaced and again I had to wait for sometime before I get going. I took it to the mechnaic next day, after parking it over-nite in a strip-mall parking space...he was unable to diagnose the problem as after he started the car it kept on goin without ever stopping...n it didn't give any problem till the end of the day when the problem surfaced again.
I was wondering if the orcales over here at YA could probably help me in understanding what the problem might be...'coz at least to my understanding its not the battery as all the lights are working fine...is it the starter or alternator that might be the cause of the mal-function..TKA for any advice!
