how do you install the holes to hang a license plate in the front of your car. i moved and i need to put plates in the front b/c its illegal not to here.... so do i take it to an auto shop or do they sell something like that at the auto store?
help...

The felt on the roof of my car is caving in... how do I fix this??

I've heard you can iron it back on but l'm not sure...

I have checked my car spark plugs and there is abit of carbon on it. I have consulted a few of my friends , they say it is due to the carberator which is giving to much of petrol. This petrol are not burn properly thus giving all the carbon residue on the plugs which is effecting the car preformence. Well I am not that sure of the answer.

earler today when i was driving my car to my parents i started to smell my coolant. when i pulled into their drive way i turned off my car and white smoke started comming in through the ac vents. then it started makeing a noise like it was over heating even though the gage didnt say it was over heating and it was leaking the coolant from behind the engine really fast. what do you think is wrong with it?

It was rather embarassing. I was int eh drive through and realized my gas was lower than I thought. Then the guy in front of me was taking forever asking th eprice of everything. I turned off my car while waiting to move up (to save what gas I could)in line and then when it was my turn I tried to start my car agian and it wouldn't start. So there I was stuck in the drive through. I thoguht it was out of gas, but I put some in and it still didnt' start. It acted like it wasnted to turn, but couldn't then after a bunch of tries everytime I would turn the key the lights would first come on then off and eventually it would not even act like it wanted to try to start at all. I have been having some minor problems with it randomly not starting, but then when I would turn the key again it would start. That has been going on for awhile. Any ideas on what could be the problem and how much it might run?

Iam not very good with mechanics on trucks. It has an automatic choke that doesnt work and I want to install a manual choke in the cab so I can adjust it when its cold. Try to explain in Laman terms if you can for me.

I have an EA Falcon that has been cutting out at unusual times, when simly driving along, when sitting at lights with the engine at idel. At times the engine will simply restart while at others I mst sit there for five minutes before it will start again. I have had all of the leads replaced, together with the distributor cap and rotor, but the problem is continuing. 4 mechanics have not been able to diagnose the problem.

my temperature gauge was reading 260 so i relpaced the thermostate and sending unit, gauge worked for a week, now it reads 260 with switch on or off. i unplugged the sending unit, still at 260, turn on switch and it goes a litter higher than 260 with a cold engine. not loosing water or running hot,what do i do to fix it.

I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited that has been running well and well maintained. However, on a recent long trip out on the country road, I experienced what maybe transmission issue. I was attempting to overtake another car. As I pushed down on the accelerator, the engine revved up from a cruising 2k rpm towards 3K, but then it suddenly drop as if it failed to engage the next gear. The car is left in a jerky motion as it attempted to rev past 3k rpm. Yet, if I accelerate on an open road without the sudden rev, it seems to click over to the next gear just fine. Although the accelerator pedal does feel alittle heavier than usual. When this jerky rev motion starts, I have to pull over and turn off the enginer and then it will be fine again. This only happens out on the open country road where I'm doing around 110km p/h and revving to overtake. No issue in city driving. Did I flood the engine in my haste or is the transmission playing up? Advanced thanks for thoughts.

Twice now within 2 month this happened: I parked the car after normal driving. 1 hr later I tried to start, the starter went "click" and all lights went out. I tried boosting from another car. the lights were on when turned on the ignition but went out as soon as I tried to start. 2 month ago it was towed to a shop. After the car was lowered from the tow truck a mechanic tried and started the car!

Today the same thing happened. The starter said "click" and everything went black. Everything was tried but did not work. The car got towed home, and tried again. The dome and dash lights are on, but go off as soon as ignition is turned on. Then I had my supper and after went out to walk to my daughter's place. I thought: try once more! - And it started like nothing had happened.

Does anybody have an idea why this off again on again can happen?

When the engine is cold, my tempo has a hard time accelerating when you pull out of the driveway and has a hard time getting to first gear. Sometimes it goes into the gears fine, but still has difficulty until you get further down the road, then it's fine. I've checked the trans. fluid and it's clean and full and does not leak. There is a oil seal leak, but I always make sure to keep the engine oil full. It does this only when the enging is cold, not hot. What could be doing this?
