Octane booster does nothing and waste your money. Racing fuel is too hot for today's modern vehicles. It can do major damage to a engine that is not designed to run on such a high octane fuel. It can cause a massive carbon buildup inside the engine.

Octane booster works, but it is not designed to increase mileage. It also won't provide any benefit if your engine doesn't require high octane. You should save money by using the octane rating your car was designed for. Check your owner's manual. If the owner's manual says your car needs 97 octane, for example, you are wasting money by buying anything higher.

Octane boosters will not raise your a full tank of gas by even 1 octane. which is kinda the point it to get racier fuel. So no it really doesnt do anything.
