Can you cut off the exhaust system including the catalytic converter on a 97 Pontiac Firebird and just use straight pipes?

I have a '99 BMW 328i. Today, after driving about an hour, when I turned off the car, the fan kept running. This is normal, but it usually stops after a few minutes. Today it ran until the battery died. Turning the car on and off again made no difference. Running the car for five minutes and turning if off also made no difference. I'm assuming there's a switch someplace that is failing. Ideas? How brok will I be when this is fixed? :-(

Truck is '93 F150 2wd, 4.9L eng. Currently no transmission in truck to compare. I found an E4od, but it is too short and the lines and connections do not align.. I found what I believe are some ID numbers. On the L section of the body is E7TP-7-096-CA, and on the L side of the rear section is 01AP7A040 AA,.

Valves? How will I know if it needs a valve? All valves? How would I know if the head isn't warped or cracked. I don't think the head is cracked as I can see where the head gasket went bad. Bubbles and gurgles, smokes white, pukes from the radiator. All the typical head gasket symptoms. By the way the girl I loaned this car to kept driving it after it was too hot from a loose wire causing the fan to not come on. I'm pretty sure new head bolts are also in order. I'm attempting this myself to save money.

Sometimes when I push the brake in the peddale goes al the way in and sometimes even locks up if pushed to far. After I drove out on the highway it seems fine again.

i was backin up and i heard a noise like my emergency brake had been engaged but it wasnt...then i went forward and it done it again but it done it 2 more times one forward and one back..after that it didnt do it anymore so far so what could be the problem?

Hi folks,I have a '90 Mazda 626 and the carburator has to be replaced with a new one soon,since it's 16 years old and doesn't work efficiently anymore...The thing I really want to know is this :
I want to add on a few more horsepowers to the car...Is there a kind of high-performance carburator suitable for my car that I can use instead of the original one...if yes,what brand,what model?...Thanks a lot...

I have a 4-cyl. engine and a 5 speed manual trans. I have 32" wild country tires and the engine is not big enough for them. I need something that will give me more power but I would like to keep my transmission to save on cost.

it appears that water is not getting to engine to cool it.when i take heater hose loose at gooseneck and run water in at gooseneck with water hose it does not run hot till i stop putting water in.put hose back on and in a mile or less it is hot again. water pump was replaced approx. a year ago

painted by inexperenced father
paint seems to be starting to bubble up
have wiped it off with water a few times to clean off bird stuff

I have a 1984 Mercury Capri. It won't stay running enough to move. It appears to be getting too much gas into the carb. The air breather cover was wet with gas. It's a 4 cylinder. I think 2.3 L. Not a turbo or anything. Automatic. Any ideas as to what's going on? Can't seem to find the MAP sensor as was going to check that too. I just got the car and it was not taken care of. I can't seem to find the fuel filter, I followed the line. Thanks.

Hi I have a 1998 chevy suburban i want to know how much horsepower and torque it has and and what rpm it is at. It has a 350 Vortec in it. And how much is it for a brand new engine just like that one 350 Vortec, because this one is getting tired with 187000 miles on it. Thanks Kyle

I was driving on the expressway home. My car started vibrating quite badly. I stopped to try to put air in the tires, but I couldn't inflate all of them, especially my passenger front tire. So, I head home, my car is vibrating. Next thing I know, the tread comes off!! It's bald. My tire isn't flat, but it's bald. Why????

im about to buy 25lbs of fiberglass off of ebay, it comes in sheets, but i just want to know what else i need to get. I am fiberglassing my trunk for my system, and i might possibly do more once i get more experience but i am not sure what to get. I know i need some kind of epoxy or bondo or something like that but i need axact names, also im curious as to how much all of this will cost.
