first check the lug nuts. then look at the tire for bulges or pressure
being low or even a broken belt. next would be the bearing on
the solid axle. lift rear tire a half inch off the ground and try moving
tire side to side. if you have much movement it is bad. this will also cause uneven tire wear. if non of the above the shock could be bad, cuasing tire hope.

sounds like you have a tire comming apart. if you jack up that wheel till it clears the ground, then hold it at the 6 and 12 oclock position and try to shake it up and down then hold it at the 3 and 9 oclock position and try to shake it back and forth. if you have slack in either direction you have a mechanical problem like a bad wheel bearing or loose lug nuts or something like that. if you have no slack then spin the tire by hand and see if you can see the tread walking back and forth or rotate the tires and see if the shake moves to another wheel. if it does then it is definitly in the tire.

Have one person shake the car from side to side violently in the back while another looks closely underneith. You will see the car moving but the wheel should stay in place. The wheel that moves will indicate the area to look. Check all of the support arms/ball joints, and wheel hub assemblies. Good luck...just do a very thorough visual inspection.

Maybe a bad wheel bearing or something? Is the tire and lug nuts on tightly? I would take it into les schwab, or big-o to get it checked out, it could be dangerous.

do you hear a growling type noise or scraping sound? have someone check you axle bearing and make sure that the backing plate is not coming loose also check you lug nut and if they are loose or have been loose the rim could have messed them up if so i would recommend replacing them all
