My husband keeps saying it is not getting any fire. it won't turn over when you try to crank it. when we were going down the road he had the gas pedal to the floor and it slowed down to a stop and now won't crank at all we were told timing chain but it is fine and he check the distubtor and it was fine and he change the coil and still won't start help please thanks

my car broke down. I had a broken spark plug wire for over a year. I thought the problem was plugs and wires, I tried to start the car over and over, then thought starter went bad, replacing starter consists of removing oil filter. when I drained the oil, I found tons of gas in the oil....any suggestions why???

its fuel injected. i stopped for gas, 2 miles down the road the truck stops. no warning, no lights, nothing. i figured it was water in the tank. i contacted a mechanic who told me to put the water remover stuff, tranni fluid, and a full tank of gas and it should run. i have done all that and it still wont start. another person said it could be plugged injectors and i would have to take it in to a shop. any ideas? anyone?

what would cause air/fuel mixture to be to rich? unburned or partially burned fuel? high combustion temperatures and/or high combustion pressures? again it is a jeep cherokee 1989 fuel injected? thanks i just don't know where to start.
