i also have replaced the oil sending unit and it has oil

First, check the oil pressure sending unit located somewhere on the block. You may have damaged the wire or pulled it off the sending unit while u replacint ur timing belt

Sounds like the Oil sending unit was unplugged while it was bieng worked on. If you look under the hood check the block for any unhooked wires that may hang near where they will be hooked up.
I had a mechanic change a transmission for me last year and he broke the oil sending unit and the light was staying on. He tried to tell me it came into him that way but I made him pay for breaking it during the repair. He didn't like it very much but I told him I would report him to the Better Business Bureau if he didn't pay for the repair.

I think if you un hook your battery for a while it will reset the light.
