my car keeps telling me that fuel additive is low and apparently this stuff is really expensive to replace.I just wondered exactly what it is and does it affect the performance of the car?

It is on a 1990 mustang convertable I'm trying to restore. it was just sitting outside for two yrs. I have gotten it running put when I drove it around the block it was slipping in first. it has a 4 cyl. auto. trans, anyones help would be great.

how do you check the computer for codes on a 92 cutlass ciera with a V6 3300 engine my car has stopped and it would only turn over if i was spraying starter fluid in the carberatour. i've changed the fuel pump and pilter don't know what else it could be.

my friend has a 2001 Grand Am that dies when driving over 50 mph. He has changed the fuel pump and I believe the fuel injector. His engine light is on and computer tests show problems with the #3 spark plug. He seems to think that this was also changed before. Could this be his problem? or the spark plug wires?

I own a '78 Malibu, which is carbureted. I have been experiencing hesitation problems with it from a standstill. My dad recommended I rebuild the acceleration pump assembly, and he said they used to sell kits specifically for this. Are these still produced, or would I have to buy a whole carburetor rebuild kit?

I have a problem with my 1987 dodge dakota when I bought it I noticed that the battery wasn't charging so I bought a new battery That didn't fix the problem. So I replaced the alternator. That didn't solve the problem so I took the alternater back and got a new one and had them test it before I left to make sure it was good. Well that didn't solve the problem. I've double checked how I installed it I made sure the belts are tight I checked if I hooked up the wires backwards. I've even checked my fuses. I can't figure out what's wrong. What do you think?

i have a plain 305 with a four barrel eldbrock 650 with a aluminim intake i have the bigger port stock heads that are being rebuilt now im fixin to slide a 292 cam and lifter set in how many horses do you think i have ( with out the cam and alu. intake I was pushing around 285-290 how much of a difference will the intake and cam make!THanks
