Try oiling down everything and changing the alternator belt.

Your clutch plate may be on its last legs. This is a part that wears out with a vehicle's age and mileage. My brother had a '93 F-150 that had a slipping clutch in it as well, and at first we thought it was the transmission going. Its not an awful fix for someone who's mechanically savvy, but its REALLY time-consuming, as you have to possibly take the transmission off of the vehicle to properly get in there.

Try taking it into a shop and having the fluid and filter changed if it did indeed sit for 2 years then you really should have this done. If that still doesn't take care of the problem then you will need to have a transmission shop take a look at it.

Bummer. Looks like you need a transmission worked on. Its the only thing you CAN do. No majic oil or "thing" you can do to make it better than have it repaired. Sorry for the expensive bad news! I bet you didn't pay much for the car huh?
