Learn about how the engine works. Work on cars first hand. My friend and I were the only girls in auto shop and the guys gave us such a hard time the entire year. But there were only two people who got A's that year. My friend and I! The guys couldn't believe it. None of the guys did. She and I went in to learn, and hands on training, the guys were in it for the "credit" on a easy class. It was fun and I learned SO much I can't tell you how much! I use that knowledge everyday! Go for it, its the best class you can take if you ever own a car. Which I am sure you will own plenty of them! Do it! You'll be SOOOO glad you did!

They work on various parts of cars my highschol auto class even made a custom s10 truck with airbags and everything and took it and entered a car show somewhere close by they didnt win but for a bunch of first time students to make a car thats even show worthy was a feat in itself

In the shop I work at, I answer the phones, order parts, do estimates and prepare the repair tickets.
