I own a '78 Malibu, which is carbureted. I have been experiencing hesitation problems with it from a standstill. My dad recommended I rebuild the acceleration pump assembly, and he said they used to sell kits specifically for this. Are these still produced, or would I have to buy a whole carburetor rebuild kit?

yes they still sell acceleration pump try napa. you will need to get the carb # it is on the side of the carb ( it has 8 numbers). Also you should also look for a vaccuum leak as it will cause it to hesitate.
