Dielectric grease will help keep the terminals and connectors from corroding. They will last longer and be much easier to remove. Most auto parts stores sell dielectric grease.

Vaseline helps conductivity! Those that answered no don't realize that knowing about car engine operations more than putting in gas, my sister didn't even know she had to watch her engines water levels? Be sure you keep the terminals clean and if there is that white acid build up pour a bit on it from a can of Coke (not diet) and you will see it dissolve the acid don't get that on your hands! Rinse the terminals with a bit of water and dry off with a paper towel or old rag. Smear Vaseline on the terminals making em all greasy/globby and put the terminals back on. I went to auto mechanics in school, and have been around car engines for over 28 years!

It is not a requirement to have the connector/ terminals to be grease, however by grease it with lubricant it help to stop the connector and terminal to be corroded by air and constant running current through them.
When I bought a new battery last time, the shop gave me lubricant for free and I had also bought a small connector sleeve to go along with it. it helps the terminals to stay corrosion free and its cheap too.
Make sure you buy the lubricant for it (which is like a gel type thing) and not just grease with with like WD-40, it helps to prevent the white powder build up.

No. Go to any auto parts store, and ask for a new battery terminal clamp. You'll spend maybe $3-4 for it, I'm guessing. Take the old one off, strip off 1/2 to 1" of insulation from the wire, and clamp the new one on. It's a 5 minute repair if you take your time.

NO greese/lubrication, if it has acid build up you can go to your local autoparts store and buy a battery cleaning kit. Terminals need to be dry and tight.

They don't require grease on them. But it would be a good idea to use a small amount on each terminal. This helps prevent corrosion of your battery.
