how do you check the computer for codes on a 92 cutlass ciera with a V6 3300 engine my car has stopped and it would only turn over if i was spraying starter fluid in the carberatour. i've changed the fuel pump and pilter don't know what else it could be.

You can retreive the codes manually for OBD-I GM vehicles, a repair manual ($20 at your local parts store) will show you how. Beats paying 40-50 bucks for a repair shop to do it, not to mention cost of the tow since your vehicle will not start. I would also check to make sure you are getting fuel/spark, if the engine will catch when spraying starting fluid into the throttle body, it is most likely fuel.

possibly fuel pump relay or blown fuse
