I changed the fluid and filter but no changes in the shift.

sounds like u might not have your cable that runs from the trans. to the carb set right have u seeked professional help yet

The overdrive is out of it or the planterries are out either way you will have to rebuild it or replace it

it could be your torque convertor it could be a gear plate gone int he tranny did you pull the trany pan and see if there is alot of metal in it?

your second gear just might be out, or ur clutch might be out when mine did it wouldnt come outta any gear hardly.. hope it helps you...
