Any repair facility that does not proudly display a sign stating that it is Certified.

ASE and ASC are two nationally-recognized accrediting organizations

These accreditations are not easily gained. They take years of honest, customer-centered hard work to earn.

If your local repair facility is not nationally recognized to be among the elite, ask the manager or owner why not.

ASE (and ASC) are the good guys (and gals).

Do not trust your ride to shade-tree "mekaniks". Go with the Professionals

The worst place? I don't know the name, but here are some sure-fire hints to know if you're taking it to a bad place.

1. if the mechanic is swinging on the engine hoist when you first drive up

2. If when he opens your hood, he whistles and says "Golly, look at all these funny parts"

3. If his only and favorite tool is a sledgehammer
