a good bodyshop can get it 99% right.if your car looks bad it probly is.see if the shop used aftermarket parts.if this is the case best will be 75% right.fine print in insurance papers state if you have to accept aftermarket parts if your company is paying (your an insured).if the other presons company is paying (your a claiment) you should not have to accept aftermarket parts.either way don't take your car from the repair shop until you are happy with the repairs.if all else fails, get a lawyer involved.

Please do not listen to these silly analogies. Of course your car will be the same, provided that it is fixed right and fixed by professionals. Your car was built piece by piece at the factory. It is simply a matter of evaluating the damage to determine what parts need replacement and replacing them with factory OEM parts. Why couldn't this be the same if every piece that was damaged was replaced professionally with OEM parts? Many shops may try to get by without replacing all the parts that need replaced or replacing them with aftermarket parts. I would never settle for an aftermarket replacement. I have put aftermarket parts on vehicles many times and the quality and fit is just not the same. If you car doesn't look right, than there is definately a problem with something and the body shop is responsible for making it right. Do not pick up the car, point out what doesn't look right and tell them that you will not accept it. You should not have to accept a car that is not fixed. You need to contact the insurance company and let them know what has happened. I would take some pictures at the body shop if I were you.

After you break a bone are you ever the same again? You break a lamp in the house, glue it together, is it the same? No, once broken even a great repair cannot ever restore it to its original condition. If the repairs have not been done correctly have your insurance appraiser look at the car and make a decision you have the right to be sure that the correct and honest work was done. Good Luck

It's never quite the same.

The only way to get it fixed right is complain to the repair shop, complain to your insurance company and explain to them what your complaints are.
