I just recently got a 1998 ranger 4.0L 5spd It has good tourqe fair Hp but will not go faster than 100mph it just holds constant. I think it is electronically limited. Im not trying to build a race car but would be happier if the truck could be allowed to do what it can.

My 1990 Ford Bronco has no power.I was told it needed a tune up so I did- no better.air filter ok.Gas treatment didnt help...Checked catalytic converter and its not stopped up.The car will strain when you take off, the rpms go way up to 4k but the car doesnt pick up it just putters kinda like a wind up toy.I can barely get it over 55 on the highway pedal to the floor. Its also idling all over the place on start.
I read here someone else is having a problem like this, could it be the torque converter? The car is also shuddering and clunking into gear. Will a torque converter effect power at all?

My Ford Probe has a MX6 2.5 24V engine. It usually shut down after a short run but would restart after a shot rest. It hasn't shut after that until a final stop for a reasonable time. The Engine has been checked and the distributor is a maybe but the guy is unsure. Another person suggest it could be the immobilisor faulty. I hope someone can help.

My truck has 65K on it. Already had front drivers side wheel bearing, and is now on its way for other side front and back $600. Also drivers side window motor took a dump $70. 6 disc cd changer just quit working, says no disc everytime I try to play it. Passenger side door wont unlock with remote. push button 4x4 will not engage high or low. Tries to not start about every 5th time I start it. Just turns over and over and over and then fires up. Makes a big clunk when I turn to the left too tight. Airbag and brake dummy lights will not go off. etc.. etc.. etc.. AARRGH. Its so disgusting because I hate to turn against fords but this is really dissapointing to me!

Truck is a 1988 Ford Bronco, 5.8L V8, 140,000 miles. It gets about 10mpg currently. If I do not change my driving style after installation, I would like to know if the $250 cost of the intake kit would likely pay for itself in gas mileage savings? Thanks.

My boyfriend has a 1992 ford tempo that he's had for a year now. Starting in February of last winter it started to leak oil and didn't know where it was coming from. My boyfriends father, who has worked on cars, said that it was the rear main oil seal. It leaks the oil right from the middle bottom of the engine and travels down the underneath of the car, down the exhaust pipe etc. The tempo has the 2.3L HSC engine and there's an opening right underneath in the middle wear it comes out. It looks like that is where the seal is.

I've tried stop leak and it slows it down temporarily for a little while. But have to put oil in every two days. It smokes out the back real bad on the highway. Especially when the converter on the exhaust heats up and the oil runs down it.

Does anyone know if this would definently be the oil seal or something else on the engine causing the leak and what to do in the meantime to stop the smoking out the back until it gets fixed.

I am looking for a crew cab with a longer bed...do they even make those? Or does the 8ft bed only come with the smaller rear area seating with the one door that opens?

What model or when I am searching what am I looking for to get the longer bed..are those the XLT Version...is that was XLT stands for?

So basically looking for the largest crew cab I can find because I have three small kids and the longest bed because we are going to start working on our house and need it for hauling wood and the long moulding strips

in the car there is a 2.5 L V6 JDM engine (not stock), a rebuilt 5 speed transmission (swapped from auto to manual), a cat back exhaust, and an intake. There is a decent radio, a tv screen, i believe 2 12"s in the trunk, and neons underneath the car. the downfall is that the hood and hatch only have primer on them no paint. he is asking $2500. i would be selling my 1994 Toyota Celica ST 1.8L 4 cylinder auto to get the probe.the celica has 133000 miles and due to the engine and transmission swap i don't know the miles on the probe. i have been offered $2700 for my car so i could possibly make $200 by doing this.

overall my question is, is it worth it?
