If you will go to the library, they have all the manuals that you need to repair any problem. The cylinders are counted from front to back. The front one being #1 and the last or back one being #6. The firing order is stamped on the intake somewhere if you will look for it. I believe it is 153624, but make sure! Look closely at the distributor cap, and you will see a number one on it by the plug for the number one wire. You wire it in rotation the same way the rotor button turns when it is cranked. Put the #1 on the cap, and follow the rotation of the rotor with the rest of the wires. Example: If the next number is 4, then count from front to the back, and you will need to put the fourth plug wire into the next hole on the cap. This is real simple to do, and if you can't get it to work out; try removing the #1 spark plug, have a friend bump the starter in quick bumps so the engine moves in about a 1/4 revolution at a time. Place your thumb or finger over the spark plug hole tightly, and begin the bumping one bump at a time until it blows your finger off, and stop. Remove the distributor cap, and look to see which wire on the cap is the closest to the direction the rotor is pointing. This will be your #1. If you can't find the firing order on the intake, call a parts store and ask someone what the firing order is. Most of them will be glad to give you that information.
Glad I could help you. Good Luck!!!
