He fixes the structure damage to an automobile. including replacing windshields, finders, hoods, doors and fixing them also. He also primers and paints the cars. Not to be confused with a Mechanic who works on engines.

body mechanic does the hard work....the metal pounding, the frame straightening, hanging new fenders, hoods, doors, etc.
best position to have in a shop is the painter, best money too.
