I am looking for a crew cab with a longer bed...do they even make those? Or does the 8ft bed only come with the smaller rear area seating with the one door that opens?

What model or when I am searching what am I looking for to get the longer bed..are those the XLT Version...is that was XLT stands for?

So basically looking for the largest crew cab I can find because I have three small kids and the longest bed because we are going to start working on our house and need it for hauling wood and the long moulding strips

Mr2fister is correct, you will need to go up to an F250 to get the Supercrew with 4 doors and a longbed.

yes they make extended cab and crew cab trucks with an 8 foot bed. I would recommend a hitch and a trailer instead though as the cost for this truck could be high not to mention operating costs versus a trailer you could unhook and leave loaded if needed and still have a vehicle to drive. Plus insurance would be cheaper on the trailer. You can also rent a trailer and save even more money.

speaking as a 20 ford mechanic you cant get a new f150 crew cab with a long bed. for as little as you may use the long bed you can get away with bed extenders that attach to the tail gate area. also all the letters xl xlt are styling cues nothing else

I won't swear to it, but I think you may have to go to a F-250 to get a crew cab and a long box. Check out Ford's website: www.fordvehicles.com.

when you find it let me know because those springs on the f-250 are a little more stiff. Maybe we can get up in it together and see if we can make it rock and perhaps bounce.
