Talked with some people who said it may be a fine crack in a hose in the fuel pump. We looked and if it has a crack it is very fine. Any way to repair this if that is the problem-other than buy a whole new fuel pump?

My wife and I have a great little Subaru Legacy we recently purchase from a family member. We gave it it's first tune up (expensive job, but I guess boxer engines are expensive to upkeep). It runs really sweet now. My question is, we noticed a smell of burning rubber coming from the heater vents when we stopped after driving 10-15 or more minutes on the hightway before the tune up. We asked the mechanic to check it out when we got the tune up and he reported that he ran it for an hour but never smelled anything. Now it's happening again! The mechanic did say that he had a problem getting some rubber caps off the spark plug heads or something since they had not been changed in many years. Could that be the answer to the smell problem? Could there be some residue of rubber still burning from them?

I recently purchased an '07 Sonata 5NPET46C57H228272. Just turning my odometer at the 31st mile I incurred a flat in a michilen 215 60R1694 tire! Rims ok but tire is useless because I continued driving on the flat for about 3miles. Dealer made no offer to replace tire even out of courtesy! Of course tire is not covered by warranty!!! I personally am disappointed in how dealer made no offer to replace tire at its cost when tire went in the 31st mile. Alto they handled the matter as well as could be expected this customer is extremely disappointed incurring lost time for the tire replacement plus any additional expense for the tire. If that is how Hyundai treats its customers they will not get recommendations for the customer!! Frank B. Dori, tele 281 497 6339.

What are your opinions of the Jeep Cherrokee. I have recently purchased a 2003 Cherokee sport, and have had no problems with it yet, but would like to knwo what other owners think. Have you had any mhecanical or eletrical faults? what is the build quality like? are they any good off road? is there anything I should be aware of? etc.

For some reason, the (parking )BRAKE light always illuminated on the display. If i brake at a certain level, it goes off, and when i accelerate again, it comes back on. Why is it doing this?! and yes, the parking break is down/off.

Also just the other day, the lights on the gear shifter went out.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I love the look of sporty cars, but i don't want to drive with a manual tranmission. The mazda rx8 caught my eye and i have seen a few with automatic transmissions. I have heard a lot of things about the rx8 that worry me, like that its high maitenence, it eats up oil and gas quickly and some stuff about the rotary engine that sounds like a pain. I was wondering if these things are true only to the manual, or if they apply to the automatic aswell(or if they are even true at all).
I appreciate any information i can get on the car! thanx
