We still have a 1995 SL2 and have had very few problems with it.
A motor mount failed early on (which was a surprise) and, years later, the manual gearshift linkage failed. The gearshit linkage was the most annoying. Mainly because it was just a small rubber bushing that could not be replaced by itself.

I've had a '97 SL2 and now have a 2000 SC1. The SL2's sunroof broke, that was it. No problems with my SC1 yet. They both get 30 mpg easily. One problem that does seem to affect the SCs and SLs is the engine coolant temperature sensor. They have a tendency to fail often for some reason.

I had a 2001 Saturn SC2 manual trans.
The moonroof quit working.
The trunk leaked alot
Other than that I liked it alot. Nice little sporty car. But, according to our insurance rates, it was a death trap. Traded it in on a 07 jetta, and our rates only went up $9.
