Car Makes - November 2006

Everytime I fill up my gas tank and go to start the car, it stalls immediately the 1st time. It's usually OK on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. This only happens when I get gas. It runs great all other times. What can be the problem???

The key will go into the ignition lock, and it will turn to "ACC" or "on", but will not twist to the "start" position. Obviously, the key itself is not worn out, or it would not work at all.

What is jambing the thing from turning to "start"??

The radiator system and heater coil have been flushed and a new thermostat put in but we only get cool air. The AC works fine.

I think my car's transmission is going bad. I drive a 2000 Ford Mustang GT. It is a manuel. The engine is making a squeky noise, and it gets squiker when I push the clutch in. Does anyone know anyone in SAN DIEGO, CA, who works on mustangs? I can';t afford to take it to an expensive mechanic, I need someone who can help me out!

I saw a video you Youtube, in which a stock Dodge Viper outran a fighter jet on a 1/4 mile test track (both the Viper and the jet took off from the starting line at the same time). I don't know a lot about cars but that seems pretty impressive to me.

A new Viper costs approximately $80,000. Are there any stock production cars that are faster than the Viper at around the same (or lower) price range? I'm talking straight off the showroom floor, not something that has been modified with nitrous, etc.

And could a sport motorcycle such as a Hayabusa outrun a Viper? I didn't think a car could outrun a cycle, but after seeing the Viper outrun a fighter jet, maybe it's possible?
