Very reliable product. My friend has a 2002 S4 Avant and it gets pretty much every thing taken car of under their 4 year/50000 mile waranty, which is in line with BMW and MB. They have taken alot of care to push their line to higher quality, performance, and reliability in the more recent decade. Previously, Audi almost bowed out of the USA market due to adverse publicy (undeserved) on their top of the line 5000 model having "unintended accelaration". They fought back well.

I doubt you could afford the repairs and maintenance. Audis are very maintenance intensive and not that many people work on them. Their reliability rating is spotty at best. It's not a very good choice for you, no, not at all. Audis "last a long time" because their owners pour a lot of money into them. You could keep a Yugo running for a million miles if you have unlimited funds.

Extremely reliable. Have always loved Audi's - they r gr8t cars to drive. We have all got one in our families and would not drive anything else. Never had any problems with them...

the audi's are good as long as they have the warranty
rough driving etc wont show any side effects quickly

For the first 50 or 60 thousand miles they are great. After that they do have some parts that can be expensive.

Audi's realiability is placed in the lower category because it is an european car. It has worst realiability than BMW and Jaguar.

You could depend on it to break down and the parts are expensive. I did not like mine, I only got one because a GF had one and I wanted to keep up with her.
