Do I really need new brakes or was dealer just saying it to get more money?

I took my car in for an oil change & tire rotation & to look at squeeky brakes on my 04 NIssan Altima. Dealer said I need new brakes. Front & Back...runs about $480. I told them no to that. I took the car home & as I'm driving I notice the squeeking is gone. Do you think new brakes are needed or was he looking for more money? I have 25K miles on it.

whats with civic drivers?

Whats with civic drivers thinking they drive a porsche because they intake and exhaust and some big rims? I drive a 2003 Ford Lightning with 12psi of boost, chipped, bassani exhaust and it makes about 440hp. I was coming back from work today when i guy in his 20's with a civic starts pacing me on the highway. I gave it a bit of gas so he could hear it wind up a bit and give him a clue but he seriously wanted to race. its not even worth the gas. And its not only civics but neons, preludes, integras, and so on. I know my trucks not the fastest thing out there but i feel like a boxer knocking out a retarded kid with these tuner cars. Anyone else have these honda cars where they live?

Mercedes Benz 220 D diesel Car was manufactured till 1975. How successful was this model? What are its inherent weaknesses ? ( e.g one point I feel is that the wheel caps get rusty pretty early than the other body parts.

Euro tail lights for 1991 Honda Prelude?

Yes I am asking this once again! I have seen Euro tail lights for my model year of car! They use to be around. I guess they stop making it. My car runs great now that I have mods in it and rebuilt the eng. Does anyone know if I can have them made or know anyone who might get a set of used euro tail lights for my year prelude? Yes, I have search ebay! I searched many sites. There has to be a set out there! Even if I have to steal one. Just kidding...but the thought has crossed my mind.
