Jaguar, definitely.
The sports cars they make are a kick (E-type, anyone?), and their sedans aren't slouches, either. For ride, stock cornering ability, and sportiness in cars that predominantly weigh nearly 2 tons, you can't beat a Jag.
They had electrical problems during and after the British Leyland debacle, but now Ford owns them and the "bugs" are all but a memory.
I've never had engine problems with any Jag I've come into contact with. Every car I've driven (including a 1971 E-type v12) ran like a top and was smoother than any domestic car I've handled. Can't say the same for my grandfathers' Mercedes headaches throughout the years.

My Favorite for Luxury is Mercedes, as for Sport Jaguar, Overal Mercedes

Mercedes-Benz has been around a lot longer than Jaguar therefore making the company much more prominent. Also, Mercedes-Benz has had much better quality ratings than Jaguar. Jaguar is known for poor reliability especially in the US.

I would have to go with Mercedes because DaimlerChysler is their parent company while Jaguar's parent company is Ford. Mercedes are faster, more comfortable, and they look better

Not mercedes, even though they are german. the guage cluster is cluttered and the tach doesnt match the speedo. and their models are long and heavy. they shift sloppy and the four wheel drive is wannabee. its not just safety that matters too, you gotta have performance and style, jag has that and they have a much nicer front end with the two round lights and unforgetable hood ornament. Jaguar is much better quality car.

If it were me I won't get either of them I just don't like them. Not my style. But if I had to chose between the two I would pick a Mercedes convertible.

mercedes by far. jaguars arent reliable cars. they always end up having engine problems down the line.

My driving instructor used to work as a crane operator and his boss used be loaded, so much so that he used to change his car nearly every week! Anyway he brought a Merc and rode it around for a few days, and then ditched it in favour of a jag. My driving insructor questioned him and his reply was simple- The Mercs ride made him throw up on more than one occasion beacuse of its wafting suspension!
