Purchased car used from major dealership. They did not disclose it was wrecked. Was purchased As is. But they still lied.

1. Ask for $1600 to fix bumper. They decline.
2. File BBB complaint, give them two options, pay for bumper or take back car.
3. They decline, BBB sides in my favor, threatens dealer with bad mark.
4. Dealer manager calls, tells me "fine we will refund car, bring it back. This is now 2.5 months later.
5. Since dealer thinks I just wanted money, they play poker. I say fine, I'll bring car right over. Manager says to wait until Monday.
6. I purchase new car over weekend, thinking the will refund car.
7. I show up on Monday, they said I put too many miles on car (3K miles) offer $10,200 I paid $12,600!
8. I remind them this was a REFUND, not a purchase!
They say no, as me to leave!

What should I do now? This is a major dealership, totally playing games!

I've heard if you buy a used car in CA but live in AZ I will not have to pay sales tax in either state? But if I buy new in CA and live in AZ I will have to pay sales tax in AZ. Is What I've heard true or false?

Hi
I am in the process of buying a car from this person, who still owes money to Honda Financial. He told me that on tuesday, we can go to the Honda dealership and pay them the balance and then they can sign over the title to the new owner, i.e, ME. However, i called Honda and they said Honda Financial is a totally different business form their Automobile business and i should contact them. Honda Financial doesnt seem to have an office around here and this process has to be done by phone then.
I dont want to pay the guy so he can pay off Honda Financial and i end up without the car and the money.

Any suggestion, Please help

I will be getting my first car soon and I was wondering how do you even shop for a first car. Or what's the easiest way? And I'm talking about like a cheaper, used, and older type of car. I'm not even sure what I want yet.

I bought a car earlier today. The sale has already gone through and the car is now under my name and at my house.

I went through the financing department at the dealership and they worked out a deal with me even though my credit isn't the best. There was only one catch! When i filled out my application I put down that I pay $950 for rent. The finance guy approved me and then said I need to come back with a phone bill showing proof of residence and my landlords phone number. Then he said oh yeah, your landlord needs to say you pay $300 for rent otherwise the loan wont go through.I was so excited about a car I didnt think much about it. Now that Ive had time to think about it i realize i need to go tell my landlord to lie and say my rent is $300 whenever the loan place calls.

My question is what happens if the landlord doesn't do this favor for me? If she still says tells the loan place my rent is $950 can i just tell the loan place i have roomates thats why i put $300 ? Please help!

My car is soon going into repossesion.
they gave me a dead line 23rd , and i am desperately looking for a job . anyway , i have 200 dollars in my acct. I was thinking of paying the 200 dollars for my insurance. which i was lever late for paying . and then hope that i get a job and pay the 425 dollars which i am 30 days past due , payment on the 23rd..

do you think I should just not pay the insurance this month , and
let them bill me for a fine , than let my car go into repossesment ?

if i dn't pay for it , i will have atleast 200 in my bank and then I could hopefully ask my mom ( which i dn't wanna do ) for the rest ( another 225 , total 425 for the CAR ) till i get a paycheck .

Ok, not sure which one yet, but I dont think the following cars could be THAT expensive.

92-94 Pontiac Grand Am- 2.3 or 2.4 Liter
90-94 Pontiac Grand Prix- 3.4 is preferred.
90-94 Chevy Cavalier- Any motor

What are the pro's and con's of these three? and yes I know they wont last forever like a honda, but I can work on Gm and Chevy alot easier than I can a honda.

I am a part time Used Car dealer. I do it in my spare time, and use tools such as Ebay, Craigslist, etc. I do not have a property or established business. I deal with cheap vehicles, mostly $2000 and under. I've had over 20 successful deals, all with happy buyers. In these 20 instances, all vehicles have been paid in full upon pickup.

Recently, I have been asked to provide financing on a vehicle I have for sale, which got me thinking. The vehicle in question is a 2001 Crown Victoria, with an NADA Value of upwards of $4500. I am taking in a partial trade, and the deal was that the buyer would pay $700 in cash to supplement the deal.

The buyer does not have the $700 in cash. He offered to pay me $150/month for 6 months to cover the cost. My question is what can I do legally to secure my interest in the car? Can I place a lien on the title, though I am not a bank? I am in Michigan.
