Honda is more well known than Scion?? That is the best joke I have heard today! Scion is built by Toyota, you know the WORLD LEADER in automobile production. Defeated GM about a year ago. Which makes very high quality, high value cars and has an actual lineup other than Civic sedan, Civic coupe, Civic Si, and Civic Hybrid. But comparing s sedan to a coupe doesn't make much sence. The Civic Si coupe compared with the tC would make a better comparision, although a Civic Si is a perfomance car, and a tC is more of a sporty economy car. If you like the Scion, you can get one with a factory TDR supercharger that will outperform the Civic, although cost more. But if you want 4 doors, and these are the only 2 choices, you have to go with the Si. Although a Lancer Ralliart would be a better choice, although a couple bucks more. Or even a Subaru WRX.

The 2008 Scion tC would be the best choice. Mitsubishi and Honda do not make reliable and long lasting cars.

The Civic and tC would be much better for reliability and resale value and also cost less for insurance than the Eclipse, but the Eclipse is more powerful.
The Civic and tC are similar, the tC has a slightly sportier look, and the Civic EX is a higher up model civic, so it is basically personal preferance.
I would choose the Civic personally, especially if you upgraded to the Si.

i would go with a honda cause they seem to last the longest, the scion is kind of a cheaper car and does not have good crash ratings. the eclipse is very small
