Everyone, stop dogging him b/c his family is well off enough to afford to buy their son a nice car. Your only just jealous that he has the ability to and you do not, he didnt ask you advise his parents how to treat or raise their son, he asked which car is better. It's so old how people dont answer questions but try to be a doctor phil b/c you want to seem like you know something and are jealous of other people. Stick to the question asked, gosh.

I'd buy the Cayman S, its such a beautiful car, the Z4 is small and ugly, plus the Cayman will stand out.

Good Luck

As for the cars, having driven a number examples of both at various track events, there is no competition... the Cayman S is way beyond the Z4 in terms of performance. The Z4 is a nice car, but it's not in the same class as the Cayman.

Though the Z4 does offer respectable performance, and is a car that will be perferred by some people. Both are good cars.

As for a 16 year owning either? It's not a good idea. Both offer more performance than a beginning driver should have. For most people, it is not until they are in their early 20s that the brain's ability to fully evaluate risk is completely developed... no one at 16 has fully developed this. And while both of these cars are have very forgiving handling, it would still be far too easy for an inexperienced driver to dramatically exceed the car's limits... combined with the previously mentioned developmental issues, it's a combination that will certainly result in a totaled car, and potentially worse.

The end result, if you get the car, will be that you'll never appreciate it, you'll wreck it, and if everything you say is true (which is fairly questionable as it has the strong hint of a teenager trying to brag, but lacking enough real life experience to understand just what it is they are bragging about), you will then repeat this cycle until something really bad happens.

was not really buying this one, only cuz it gets asked every day, some 16 year old who supposedly has a friggin brain dead parent who will buy them something like a Z4 of Cayman S... but when he says, and my dad paid the local police department so they can never give me a ticket for anything, you sort of took this fairy tale to the realm of the surreal.. dumazz

You get a Porsche for the ability to say you own a Porsche. The Z4 is beautiful, it has amazing curves, I don't even view this car car, it a piece of art..

P.S- Keep Dreaming....

If this is for first car, you shouldn't pay more than $25,000. You should consider buying a Scion, preferably the xD.
