i bought a car about a month ago. it was a 2008 mitsubishi lancer. the salesman said that plus tax and everything it will come out to be $24,000 and something. so i said i'll down pay $19,000 and finance the rest, which he said was $5,000 and something. i'm 18, and have no credit. so i thought the deal was like that. but then i found out the the dealership sold me the car at the price of $25,000 and plus tax and everything came out to be $29,000 and something. so i had financed about $10,000. with interested came out to be $15,000. i never agreed to that term, but i signed all my documents without knowing. the people there said it as we talked about and i trusted them that it was right. since i'm new at this stuff, they said they'll take care of me.
what do i do?
what can i do?
i never agreed on the numbers on my agreement i signed, and the price is way over my head.
do i get a lawyer?
help me please.
thank you
-jae

I am looking for a car that looks good, good on gas, and as cheap as I can get that combo so I saw an 04 Civic Hybrid today. Its in really good condition, clean title, maintained really well, hasn't been in any accidents but has 137,000 miles on it. I can probably get it for $8,000. Is that a good deal or should I keep looking?

I have a Ford Focus with 33 K on it. I got a letter from the dealer I bought it from asking me to come in and see if I can trade it in. The salesperson told me that the value of my old car has reduced to 8k and I bought it for 14,999 (I owe around 13K on it). He is saying I can buy a new Ford Focus with 0 miles on it and no negative equity on it along with 5 year warranty and at 12k. Do you think it is a good deal? The only thing that would be a minor issue is that I would be making a little more (20 bucks more) then what I am paying now as payments on the old car.

my car is for sale in E&M on internet and magazine. I have had an interested buyer claiming to be a dealer, offering to pay for the car with a cheque. The cheque is for the price of the car plus shipping. Once the cheque clears, someone will come to take the car, but i have to pay the shipping fees into Western Union with the extra from the initial cheque. Is this a scam, do you think, *******

I'm looking at getting out of my traditionaly financed car and getting into a lease. I have alot of negative equity (about 8-10k) and they are doing huge rebates on the focus's right now and they suggested I go with one of those. My credit score is in about 606 according to the 3 burearu credit scores and i've never ever missed a payment. I have stable income and have been at my job for almost 2 years. My husband has our car thru ford credit (my name is not on the loan) would it be possible you think for me to get approved? I was approved last month when we bought our second car thru another company (traditional financing)

Dealer asked me to pay $5XX as the deposit to lease a car. And I paid it. Is it means that I am qualified to lease the car by the dealer with their criteria? Can dealer dispute the transaction by the reason of credit (They are not given the reject nor approval). Instead, they asked me to finance to buy the car at a higher monthly payment rather than lease the car at a lower rate. I checked my credit report and found that my credit is in a good stand. Only thing is my length of credit history is 12 months. Is this fact can be a reason of rejection? I have 2 credit cards of $500 limit, one is secured one, and another is normal one.

Hi There. I had a question regarding how to cancel my extended service contract that I purchased when I bought a new car. I was a little confused when it came to all that warranty stuff and did not need to purchase an extended contract. I read the cancellation policy and it says to return the contract to my selling dealership within 60 days for a full refund less 50 dollars. Can I mail it to them or do I have to actually go in? (I'm in another state now).

Also, with that refund, does the money go straight against my loan, or do I get it back in the form of a check?
