Buying & Selling - November 2007

I purchased a car 21 days ago. The dealership drug their feet on getting the car funded from the lender. The car was wrecked and may be totaled. So I have a possibly totaled car on my hands that the bank hasent funded the financing for. So NOW I get a call from the dealership saying they are missing a piece of information they need to get the loan funded. (this only after I found out that the car was never registered in my name, and had trouble getting it towed. I had to call the dealership) I told them what happened and they are basically wanting me to lie about the car to the finance company to get the car funded. They never came out and said it, but they are jumping around the subject. I don't know what to do. The car isn't in my name. My insurance company is paying for it which is fine because I wrecked it. I just don't want to lie, and now I have to jump hoops because the dealer drug their feet. What should I do and what is the law. Should I just keep the finance co. out of it?

Hi I purchased a car at the weekend with discount. I signed the car dealer's form. However, today the manger has rung to say the discount is no longer available even though I have signed acceptance and paid the deposit!

Does he have to offer me the price with discount or are they allowed to change the price.

I recently got into a terrible accident and now want to sell my car. How much would you pay for a totaled 1999 BMW 323i. The car is damaged in the front only, here are the things that were damged and things that work well:

Damaged:
1. Two Front lights (including signal light) (However the one light is in tact and not damaged at all, just need to be put back). Two Fog lights.
2.Front Bumper
3.The Hood
4.Right and Left Fendor
5. One Front Grill.

Things that are good:

1. Engine is not damaged and in good shape.
2. Tires are brand new and rims are good.
3. Suspensions are brand new.
4. All windows are 20% tinted, the back lights are also tinted.
5. No Damage in the interior at all and is clean.
6. No other damage (other than what i listed above) under the hood.

If i didnt have an accident i wud be able to sell the car for about 7 grand. Now that i had the accident, i just want to know around what price i cud get for it? Any1 have an estimate, let me know. Thanx

So basically i want to start off by saying im in Australia not the U.S, and I have a car loan with Esanda. Its a 2004 Mazda 3 but it is costing me a fortune and I can no longer afford it. I have bad credit since I purchased this car and have 3 defaults that are paid and 1 unpaid on my credit rating, which means I have tried to get out of this car and downgrade to a cheaper one but no one will give me a loan. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can get this car off my hands and maybe just pay in full for an old bomb that will get me around?? The only problem is its not in immaculate condition and I still owe around 21000 on it but I dont think I will get that if i sell it privately or trade in. Any advice in regards to Australia will help

i am lookin for a new job prefrebly in a car dealership. i would love to learn how to become a mechanic little by little in that dealership if its possible. if it's not possible then i guess i am going to have to settle with the job i was offered with my uncle that works for honda. he told me it's ''MAKEREADY DEPOT.'' does anybody know how much they might start me off at? if so please post and let me know. and if u have any other job suggestions please let me know about them as well thank you all.

Hello, I am in the market for a new vehicle. I would like to buy a 2005 or newer, I currently own a 1997 jeep wrangler w/ 130,000 miles on it and it has seen it's better days. I am looking for an SUV with plenty of room for kids, camping, road trips etc.. and that can pull a small trailer for short distances. I am looking at the following:

-Nissan pathfinder or Xterra

i know that the honda is slower then the vw rabbit. am looking for something that is reliable and isn't going to give me alot of problems since i'll be taking out a loan to get one. i know the honda has better gas per mileage then the rabbit but not by much. so any suggestions?

I'm trying to sell me honda accord coupe and the dealer is telling me that i have almost three thousand in negative equity. My deal breaker was get me out of my car and i will pay my own taxes, tags, and title and we have a deal. but he told me he couldn't do it even though my car is the top of the line for accord w/low miles. so i got up and left and the sales mgr was trying to negotiate another vehicle with me but I still stuck to my decision. do you think this was a good idea and do you thing they will call even though its a $3000.00 difference? please help! serious answers. what should i do?

okay at the beginning of February, I'm getting a check worth about 2,000. and my mom said if i was going to get a car she would chip in a 1,000. so that is 3,000, but a local car dealership sales used cars to college students and takes 1,000 off the price. so for 3,000 i can get a 4,000 car. the car would be awesome because this city doesn't have buses/trolleys or any way to travel.
or i can get braces. i wanted something for my upper row because it has spacing. braces would be wonderful because if i had great teeth then i'd definitely be a 10. i am so low-confidence about my teeth.

i want both equally, because if i get a car i can get a much better job. if i get a better job then i can eventually get braces.
if i get braces i will have much better confidence. i have a low confidence.
