I am looking at a honda civic si, a honda accord, and the pontiac g5 gt, all of them new. My budget is about 20k. Which one is best overall, on reliability, and speed/acceleration?

If you want a fast car, the Civic Si will give you the best bang for your buck. Accord will have a bigger engine but, the civic si will be sportier and the G5 (loaded one) will cost more.
However, if you want a roomy sedan, go for the accord or g5. BTW g5 will cost much less than an accord v6 but the accord will out-perform the g5 any day.

The Honda civic would be your best bet. They hold there resale value. Good reliability not a fast car and has some acceleration. For a more comfortable car get the Honda accord this car has more of everything the civic will not have but then the price is higher too.

The Pontiac is just not as reliable as the others.
But for all out speed, the V6 Accord is the way to go. But for the best mix of speed and handling the Civic Si is your top choice.
I own a 2005 Accord EX V6 coupe. It has 240HP VTEC engine, 6 speed manual, touchscreen GPS, LED display, dual exhuast, sport tuned suspension, 17"wheels, power leather heated seats, voice activated controls, and much more. I think it is a better overall car than the Si, it is faster, but cannot handle as well.

accord or civic si is the way to go.. dont even consider the g5 its a piece of crap.. i have an 06 civic si and its a gr8 car.. if you want something a little bigger and with a v6, go for the accord coupe its pretty quick for an accord just make sure you get a stick!

The Mazdaspeed3 msrp's for within hundreds of a civic si, but in my opinion, has cooler and more upscale options than the civic and has standard leather interior. It also will beat the civic in a stoplight race by a mile. I haven't heard any problems with reliability with any of the other cars or Mazda, so that wouldn't be a concern for me with this group.

over all i would go with either the accord or civic depending on what you like they both are very dependable and have a bunch of good features also with a few thing like a cold air intake (very cheap) can add horsepower to add acceleration and speed!

Honda all the way! These cars are super and well engineered unlike our domestic brands. Nice price and resale value with style and performance to boot.
