I am a car salesman pushing about 12 units a month. This is a decent number, but sales is not what it used to be you have to work much harder to make the same amount of money you did in the early 1990's . People are more educated due to the internet. We do not gross as much as we used to off of each unit. Therefore salesman now make much less per unit. To make up the difference GM's are now paying commison and other bonuses. At my particular dealership you will make an average of $200 per unit there are a lot of manys($100) and some flats($500+) so if you sale 12 every month that would normally come to $2400 a month. Thats not that great now you got to figure in that month you will probably hit atleast 2 flats on one of the weekends wich would bring your pay up $1000 for the month, now thats a lil better stiil not great. They have a fast start and fast finish. I need 8 units sold from the 1st to the 15th and 8 more from the 15 to 30th if I could do this it would be an additional $500

I am looking to purchase my first vehicle (16 years old) and am wondering which vehicle is better or what your opinion is. Either a new 2008 Scion xB or a 2002 through 2004 used Audi A4. Safety is my main concern followed by style!

I'm going to buy the first car ever. Since my budget is tight and I'm not a fancy person, I guess a second-har car is fine for me. I envisage that this car should last for at least two years, before I buy another one.

Looking at the dealers' websites, I saw that there are too many to choose. There is even a car offered at £300.

In your experience, what should be the minimum price of a car that can guarantee to last 2 years?

I'm trying to judge them on the following qualities:
gas mileage
Size (Small on the outside, big on the inside)
reliability
Cost (The Fit is more expensive, but I don't know if it's worth it)
Babe Magnetism (How well can it impress the ladies ;)

The Rogue has 170hp. The Civic has 166hp. HP is a no brainer. Rogue wins hands down. But the Rogue is a brand new model. Looks like a scaled down version of the Murano. The Honda Civic has proven itself track record wise. Fully loaded Rouge is about $22,000. Fully loaded CRV depending on the model type EX, DX blah-blah can range from $22,000 $23,000, up to $30,000. Your thoughts?

I'm looking at purchasing one of two cars. One of them is a 2000 Toyota Camry with 102k miles on it. The other is a 2002 Chevy Cavalier with 60k miles. The Cavalier is also about $500 less than the Camry. Both cars are in great condition and have been well serviced and taken care of. Any opinion on which one I should go with? I'm leaning towards the Cavalier of course, because it costs less and is about 40k lower. But I know from personal friends that those Camry's can go on over 200K+ if they are well serviced and maintained. Thoughts?

I had bought a new hyundai in 2004, but had to get my father as a co-signer. Now my dad needs a car and wants to take the one I have and I can get another car, but wants me to be out of his credit. My credit is bad. Is it possible to have my dad co-sign for a car for me and then have him transfer the account to me within a week/month/etc.

I've gone to lending tree but they all require me to trade in my hyundai to get a car without a co signer. I can't.

Is it possible for my dad to transfer the car i buy to my name in around a month so that I am off his credit ???

He has always been not keen on children but has built a really strong bond with her and really deserves something nice for the day. Its his 50th on Xmas Eve and he really deserves it!!
