Just as the question states: I really like the look of these sport cars, and can easily afford one, but people keep telling me that I am "too big" for a car like that. Imagine someone with Jack Black's or Jimmy Kimmell's build in a car like that. What do you think? (PS- It'll probably be a black one with black rims).

I was given an Out the Door quote for an '08 Honda Civic and was also told that they will provide free oil change for up to a year and free car rental if my car ever needs to stay in their location overnight within the time of the warranty. My question is - Will all the extras I will be provided with the purchase of the car such as the free car rental and free oil changes be written on the initial contract I sign? I was told in one dealership that the oil changes and free rental are signed in a separate office after I sign the contract with the salesman.

If they say that it is separate and that I should sign the Out the Door price first with the salesman and that the extras will be written in a separate sheet of paper in a separate department; should I believe that? Have I just been scammed? Or should I ask to only sign ONE paper which states the final sales price of the car and all the extras they CLAIM they will provide? THANK YOU SO MUCH.

For years, back in the late seventies, Toyota made a better
car than the US did, but that all ended years ago, now Ford
and GM and Chrysler have as many good cars as Toyota.
In fact, some of the GM and Ford cars have surpassed
Toyota in quality, gas mileage, and long life, yet Americans
continue to buy Jap cars due to the hype.
The Toyota Camry gets the EXACT same gas mileage as
a new Tahoe. GM has 19 cars that get over 30 MPG, Toyota has only 9.
And the Toyota trucks have LOWER MPG than American
trucks, the new Tacoma had 100,000 of the 135,000
that were sold RECALLED for torque converter problems,
they pull NOWHERE near the capacity that they advertise,
and they are butt ugly.

I recently traded my old car for a brand new 08 car. I got to take the car home Friday. It is now Wenesday and turns out I do not even have the paperwork for the vehicle. They could not get me approved with the bank for financing due to me having another vehicle in my name. They are now telling me I am in need of a cosigner and that I am having a hard time finding. My husband cannot be under it since this week is his last week. They keep insisting to put him down that it doesn't effect him but in reality I think it would. I think they have become so desperate that they want to make the sale that badly. I am becoming frustrated and even want to return the car back but I"m just being patient seeing what happens. My insurance payment is already due tomarrow and I have no official paperwork. I don't understand why they would give me the car without approval first. What would you do in my situation?

We live in Georgia, USA.

My folks are considering turning in their 2005 Ford Focus. They are some three months behind on the payments.

They asked if they could turn in the car to the dealership where they bought it, and were told that they may do so. But, they were told that they would STILL have to pay the remaining balance owed!

My parents got ripped off BIG TIME with this car. The car is worth maybe 12K BRAND NEW. As it sits now, the car may be worth 6 or 7 Grand.

They have made about two years worth of payments, but they STILL OWE like 10G's on the blasted thing.

Is there anything they can do?

Could they sell the car to Carmax? Will Carmax buy the car without my parents having the Title? The Title is at the bank. My parents could furnish the Title if Carmax buys the Focus, and my parents in turn pay off the balance. But would Carmax be willing to do this?

How much would Carmax say that their car is worth?

Any ideas on what we can do to preserve the car?

I am looking to sell outright instead of trade in to save myself from losing several thousand dollars, but I'm still financing the vehicle and the finance company has the title. Obviously I would have to sell the car for more than I owe, which I could easily do. But then what? Nobody is gonna hand over cash then wait for the title in the mail after I pay off the balance. Can this be done some other way? Is there an easier where buyers would get the title immedietly?

Hi,
I live in the states and have been looking for a 1981 Ford Fiesta to buy, but can't find any. I noticed that the UK has all of them! But, I also noticed that the steering wheels are on the right-hand side. I need one with the steering wheel on the left-hand side.
I will pay decent money for a 1981 Ford Fiesta, but I have no clue how to get it to the States, except to have someone ship it by boat. I will pay for that, too. But how much would that cost?
Does anyone know where there is a 1981 Ford Fiesta in great shape, how much it is and how much shipping is?
Thanks!

I am considering buying an '07 Honda Pilot with 16K miles on it. The carfax report says it has never been wrecked. Yesterday it was being offered by the dealer on AutoTrader.com for 30,500. We drove it and noticed a ding in the right front fender. It was large enough to be noticeable, but still just cosmetic damage. Today AutoTrader reflects a reduced price of 29,000. We talked to the dealer and they now want to offer the car "as is" with no warranty other than the manufacturer's. They also said they would fix the dent. What gives? Why would they do this unless they are hiding something? What kind of questions should I ask to get to the bottom of this?

NOT a tiny one, such as a corsa, fiesta, polo or golf.

I'm looking to pay between xx- £2000.

I'd like something sort of saloony, in black.
I WAS looking at a Hyundai Coupe.
So something like that if possible.

I do choose best answers!
