Power of attorney? How?

Have your wife get a power of attorney form from the DMV. You fill it out and give her poa over the car.
The only hitch, is that since you are outside the US, I am not sure how they will view that. Usually you have to have a notary stamp the document. Maybe they would accept a notary from large bank or attorney. Someone they could call to verify they checked your id and all is ok.

If you are selling it I expect you already have the title in your possession. Simply sign it in the appropriate places but do not date it. When your wife receives the cash for the car have her date the title and give it to the buyer.

sign the title over to her.then she can sell it for you
