Personally I'd spend another $1000 and get the much better Santa Fe. Hyundai has the better warranty, crash ratings and more dealers so that's another plus. I'd take the Grand Vitara over the Tuscan for the same price, though you are better off getting the small-SUV class leader (Honda CRV).

I had and 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Limited 4wd. It was a great vehicle. The SUV was very reliable and had the seating for 7passengers. The Suzuki is made in Japan. You can verify this by the VIN number. It has a J at the front.

I was very satisfied with the Suzuki. I used it to tow quads and dirt bike for family outings. Plus loaded it up with 7 passengers. The reason I sold it was the MPG. I had a CRV and sold the Suzuki .Now if I did not drive a million miles I would have kept it.

I have no experience on Hyundai but they are made in Korea I think. You would have to see the VIN to make sure. I am not fond of Korean vehicles. I had seen other people with Hyundai's and they were not so lucky.

I would suggest getting them used . They both depreciate quickly. The Suzuki would be my choice. Just make sure that the car is made in Japan. Suzuki is currently selling other vehicles made in Korea by failed Daewoo, but selling them under the Suzuki name. I think it is just the Forenza and the Reno so be careful. it really not that cool that Manufacturers sell Vehicles that they do not make.

Lots of manufacturers have done this. Just watch out and do your research.

Hyuandi by far. Suzuki will not get financing from high end banks for the most part due to unreliability.
