Get a little toyota or honda. They last forever with decent care. Spend a few dollars to have a mechanic look at it and make sure that it's in decent shape, too. It may cost you $50-100, but it could save you hundreds or thousands of dollars in repair costs. If you're in the US, you should be able to find a mechanic near you at the website below. This is one run by Car Talk - the NPR car show. They keep a database of people who have recommended mechanics in their area.

If you what a car for gas milage then you want to get a 4 cyl. but if you are considering a fast car get a V6 or V8. But i would perfer a Ford because you can beat the snot out of it and still drive it. And also a very reliable car would be a
V-Bug they can last forever.

Toyota and Honda are really the top brands quality wise. They cost more upfront, but if you perform the maintenance, they will drive forever.

Try www.Edmunds.com it'll tell you what car has retained its value, which have less repairs, and which are safer, etc.
Try www.Consumer Report.com or go to your local library and ask for which is the best first car to buy. Librarians are a treasure trove of information.
www.bluebook.com is also a good car site.

Drive carefully, God loves you!
