of COURSE not....!!!! the warranty period for this car is WELL over...they would laugh at your face if you TRIED to return it.... BUT, a 12 year old Ford Taurus without hardly any miles on it would DEFINITELY be a conversation piece at the dealers if NOTHING ELSE.

I would call Ford and complain. My goodness, how can they sell a car that doesn't run. If you are being honest and your car is new (lets say under 100 miles), you should hold the manufacturer responsible. Because the costs of cars have gone up, you should pay a reasonable cost to get a new Ford Taurus, lets say $15,000 plus tax and license. I would offer this to the dealer and don't leave until you get what you want.
This will teach them to make better cars!

I can't see it happening. You really should have taken it back long ago - I can understand medical issues, but having no opportunity for 12 years? And if it hasn't been driven for 12 years, then it's not surprising that it broke. It probably had rust inside the cylinders, condensation inside the fuel tank, varnish in the injectors and fuel lines, moisture in the oil pan, and dry rot in the tyres. And did you change the oil every 3 months, like the manual says? I doubt it - If you had time for that, you would have taken it back to the dealer.

Are you saying you have a 12 year old car that has never been driven? Was it used or run at all during that time? You can't just take a car that has sat that long and expect to be able to just get in and use it. You can't return it. The warranty has long since expired.

i am sorry to hear there are medical issues, but i highly doubt they will let you return it after 12 years (for a full refund).
just assuming it was never turned on or rarely turned on for that matter between the 12 years since you got it till now, the liquids probably went bad (i.e. oil).

12 years old and it has hardly been used of course it would break down. all our parts get stiff if we dont use them. if you took it back now they will laugh in your face.
