I'm currently looking for a car on eBay and I want to make sure I know the history before I get it. What has more reliable information? Carfax or autocheck. They're both the same price for unlimited access so which one gives more info for the money?

we wrote up a bill of sale, he was to send me the title once he received it so I can register the car, its been 3 weeks, I tried calling, he's not answering my calls, I'm now worried, thinking he cashed the check & never paid the car off........pls advice.

I live in VA. I own a Honda Civic Hybrid '04, 50k. It's a great car, has no problems. We're just upgrading. I've placed an ad in our local paper. But do I expect someone to come and write me a check for the full amount, and then I pay off the loan in my name, and then what paperwork do we do??? I'm kind of lost. It's the first car I've sold privately instead of trading in.

I live in Calfornia. I am going to purchase a car (with salvage title) which is required to be repaired in order to drive. The car is located in Michigan. Is it possible to transfer the Salvage title to clear title after the car is repaired and drivable ?

What is the procedures? I heard that the car need to be inspected by police department in California in order for title changed ?

This might be a really stupid question, but how hard is it for a high schooler to get a bank loan for a car? Pretty good student, As and Bs w/ a job.

Im making about 400 a month working a part time job, and the car im looking at would cost about 200 a month. (Ive got a Jeep Liberty that my dad used then gave me when I got my liscense recently and Ive already got a 6,000 offer on it. Im buying a 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Converitible at 18500 w/ a down payment of 6,000; Its actually in pretty good shape, Ive test drove it and everything and I love it)

I've looked at Corollas with similar trim, transmission, etc., and the new ones are often cheaper than the used ones. This seems counter-intuitive. Does anyone know why this is? (What I'm really asking, of course, is - what's the catch?)

Im 17 yrs old and im loooking to buy my 1st car !
I have my heart set on a honda civic ( type-r ) about 7-10 yrs old.
I live in Ireland so I was wondering if I should import the car from Japan or England ?
When iv put my money into the car I wud like it to look like the pic below.

How much wud it cost to modify the car ( body kit , new lights , alloys , seats ) ?
