Hey y'all
I need some help deciding which car to buy, VW PASSAT OR ACURA INTEGRA.
I really wanted to buy Integra but its hard to find one thats not been raced or in a good condition at a reasonable price.
The same is true with Honda Prelude.
My budget is around $8000.

I need to find a car not too far from Beaumont, Texas under $1000. It's also mandatory that it be an economy car otherwise i cannot afford the gas. I'm desperate for a reliable, safe ride so I can finally get to work without hitching a ride. Where can I find one? Please help me!

It's beautiful, we are asking slightly less than blue book, but no bites. Even the rare bite we do get either flakes or cancels. Is it that private party sales have a "price cap" or is it the gas prices- or is it just bad luck? We've been trying since 11/06 & the price is $9500.

When selling a used car to a dealer, what percentage should I expect from the fair market value of the car? In this case a 10 year old Jeep.

Earlier I was thinking of buying Acura Integra, but now I am also considering Audi A4.
Is it a good idea to buy a used Audi A4 with 75000 miles or so on it?
Does the repair/maintenance cost more than Lexus?
Overall, which one's a smart choice to go with?

Thanks to everyone who left their suggestions

I have only owned old cars that were passed on to me by my father. I have never actually went to a dealership and bought a car before. I feel trapped! The car I have now is falling apart! My parents and friends eathier have no credit or bad credit, but mostly just bad credit. So there is no way I can get a co-signer! I called a credit union today and they also said they couldn't help me. So I am confused. My father has purchased all of his cars through a credit union... Can someone please help me?!

I have an older Corvette, bought it 2 years ago at the beginning of a mid-life crisis, my husband got mad at me for today for taking it for a drive for no reason at all other than it's a really sunny nice day and I wanted to cruise with the roof off and listen to tunes. He says that I should only drive it when I actually have somewhere to go, I say I don't need any place to go. Who is right?

When you tradein a car how does that work? Say the car u want is 22,000 dealer price and u have a trade in and you owe 11,000 to pay off and the dealer gives you 7,000 for it. Will the dealer subtract the 7,000 from the 22,000 then add the 11,000 back on so they can pay it off, or will they just add the 4,000 for the difference. Im trying to understand. Thanks
