Hey y'all
I need some help deciding which car to buy, VW PASSAT OR ACURA INTEGRA.
I really wanted to buy Integra but its hard to find one thats not been raced or in a good condition at a reasonable price.
The same is true with Honda Prelude.
My budget is around $8000.

I am a proud owner of a 1994 Prelude Vtech. As with most Hondas, almost every aspect of the Prelude is intuitive; your going to enjoy the ease of every feature in the car. In my experience, and in others, VWs are a maintenance nightmare, little things that aren't suppose to break, do break. The Hondas and Acuras (Acura being owned by Honda) are going to be more easily serviceable and have a better reputation as road warriors. If I were you, I'd cut the Passat out of the picture and decide between the Prelude and the Integra. Of course being an owner of a Prelude, I'm very bias and have to say get the Prelude. It's a perfect car in my mind for my daily activities, but you have to decide what will be ideal for your life. If you go with the Prelude, I can guarantee that you will love it.

I used to drive Integras before teenages discovered them, and made it almost impossible to find one in good shape & at a fair price. Consumer Reports claim used VW have loads of repairs when they get older. Which is how I found the 2001 Hyundai Tiburon. As fast or faster then my Intergra, and I don't have trouble locating my car in a parking lot, full of Civicss, Integras, and VDubs. You might be able to find a 2003 with the V6 for under $8k

I choose a VW anytime! I have owned a VW for 6 yrs. It started giving me problems after 5yrs of problem free. The feel of driving a VW is extremely satisfying, so I continue to fix and drive my old trusty friend.

Are you intending to race? Or look cool? If thats what you need, then the Honda is probably the car for you.
