Buying & Selling - April 2007

I'm 16 and will soon be getting my license. I am turning into a very good driver(i hate to brag) but my parents let me drive everywhere. THe only problem is how do I get them to buy me one? I've thought of so many reasons why I should get one and have told me one but they've just countered right back with a reason why they wont buy me one.

So far i've thought about the fact that I will be having practices in the mornings and im sure they dont want to drive me so early...lol...got any more suggestions?

I am going to be around in one of the suburbs in Massachusetts for next 6 to 7 months.

I basically have a shared car for weekdays. But weekends is a problem to go out as we use a shared car.

Should I think of buying a car for next 6 months (basic need is getting around on weekends) ? and then sell it off?

Will it be too dear economically if I rent one?

My dad is a huge Roland Rat fan, and would like a graphic to go on his most prize posession... A frontera 4x4. he has one of those tyre cover things for the back, and wants a Roland Rat on it, the question is, where can i get it done for a resonable price, and that's gonna look great, (sticker graphic or airbrush) web addresses would be much appreciated...

I made a verbal agreement to buy a vehicle from a dealer and gave him a down payment. He gave me a spec sheet with a price. When I went to buy the vehicle, it was a different model year, a different price, etc. I refused to buy vehicle. Now he won't give me my down payment back because I didn't fulfill the agreement. Can he do that?

I bought a car from a guy, and I paid him cash. 2 days later, my transmission went out. And the guy didn't replace the windshield or mirror knob, both of which he said he would replace. He sells cars on a regular basis, but it's a completely under the table type of thing. And I heard that in the state of Missouri you can only sell 5 cars a year. So according to that, he's completely in the wrong. But I can't find anything that actually says that you can only sell 5 cars a year. If any of you guys could help me out with that it would be greatly appreciated! Because otherwise I'm out $1500+ for all of the repairs...
