Is it possible to trade in a vehicle that you got 5 months ago that cost $16,000.......And then you want to trade it in for a newer one that cost 20-28K....and also get a lower payment then $280/month......? is that possible? or is it pushing it too far at a dealership?

I am in the process of shopping for a car, I really want a Chrysler Sebring lx Coupe 2004 but, the advice I was told is not to get stuck on one particular car. I like the solara (toyota). what is a cute coupe that has great gas milage. low maintaince, under $10,000, that would benefit me for 3-4 yrs.

Hi,

Im about to go used car shopping this weekend to finally get my own car. I have a question about what cars out of these would be best on gas usage.

A 1997 Ford Taurus GL Sedan, 1998 Ford Taurus Sedan, 1997 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan, and a 2000 Ford Escort Sedan.

Also, what colors are the best for auto insurance rates?

Yeah I dont know much about cars if you cant tell but im anxious to just get one already.

I'm very close to making my first car purchase but I"m still deciding on should I buy or lease. For the most part I know that through a lease that there are mile restrictions and you can't customize the car which are things that I can adjust to. Honestly I'm leaning more towards leasing because most people don't really keep their cars these days and trade them in after a couple of years anyway. With that said what are the the major pros and cons that someone should know before entering into a lease.

Thinking of getting used, 2005+, and looking for any comments and experience with either. Leaning towards the Vibe because it looks like it may have more cargo space in the back, but thats as far as Ive gotten so far.

I heard there is a way to sign the title (or not sign it) that would allow you to turn around and resell a vehicle without paying sales tax.

What say you?

I've searched high and low and even tried to go through the individual manufactuers to get a FWD with a manual transmission and it seems to be impossible. I can't be the only one to prefer a manual to an auto so why do all of the manufactures refuse to offer the option?

With the rise of gas prices, I am thinking of downsizing from my Ford Ranger.

I would like suggestions on what small car has been the most reliable and easiest on the wallet.

BTW, Saturn fans need not reply. I have driven enough of them to know that after 50K or so miles, they simply begin to fall apart.

I moved two years ago to support my newborn after finding out my girlfriend was pregnant. I left behind my old car and my family put it in my brothers name so I've been stuck without a vehicle. I've been working at my current job for 6 months and management said it is possible to pay any debts or loans by having it taken out of my checks. I don't plan on leaving the company at all and plan on living up here. I've tried for an auto loan but was denied because of my bank balance (after fixing my fiancee's car and her mother's truck because they were out of work and were on HUD). Is it possible to get an auto loan in this manner? At work, management said they'd need the necessary paperwork to have it directly taken out, but I'm not quite sure if dealerships would allow such payments- since its not directly through a bank. Is this method even possible?

The maximum loan i'm thinking of getting is $5000. I've talked with several dealers about downpayments and those I can easily handle.

If you went online and filled out a finance application for one dealership, and then went in person to another dealership a couple of hours later and filled out one in person, what would happen? Can you fill out 2 different ones to see which one goes through?
