I was told that all A-plan leasers get the same price. Is that true? Will I get different monthly payment amounts from different dealers. In other words, should I shop around?

Nissan said I already signed papers from the dealer saying I would agree to any loan, but that is not the case. The contract I signed has been kicked back from the lender, and they are trying to get me to sign a new contract with a higher rate, saying I HAVE to. What are my options here?

Are the dealers trying to sell me a lemon? I looked up the values on NADA website.. trade in value is 17,000.. retail is 20,500... they said they have the carfax report available.. it's had one owner and no previous damage.. the miles are high, but the NADA site figured in the hight mileage (58,000). What's the deal?

Additional Details

i'm buying a car from a friend and can't get approved for a loan. he has a loan out on it though. I was thinking about it and could i just start paying the payments with money orders and leave the loan in his name. if the title is transfered in to my name and i have a signed and noterized document from him. would the car still be under my ownership or could he come back and take the vehicle back? sorry if this doesn't make sense let me know what you think. thanks, Drea

Here's my situation: I'm about to sell my POS Saturn SL2 with 140K miles. Can't afford to have a car that is about to die - reliability is a huge concern for me.

I'd like to spend about $20,000 at most because that's what I can afford. I'm not worried about a new car. Because of my good relationship with a mechanic, I'm only interested in cars he specializes in, so I'll only consider Hondas, Toyotas, Acuras, Lexuses, Nissans, and Infinitis.

I'd like to get the best car for the money and I'm not worried about the car being new. I want the best car for the money whether it has 10,000 or 100,000 miles on it. If it makes more sense to pay less, I prefer to.

I realize there can be a million responses to this but I just want a general poll with some suggestions. Most guides will either focus on buying used and saving the most money possible, or buying new and getting the best car possible. I want to buy used not necessarily to be cheap but to have a better car.

any feedback? i'm buying the 07 4door sedan automatic, black. I'm thinking of not putting in power doors and windows to save some cash and just get an outside autoshop install powerdoors for me. You think that is smart and will save me money? you think the yaris is a good choice for a car budget under14000? thanks!
