Bought a car for a girlfriend a year ago.(stupid move i know) we broke up and now i have this damn car that I still owe 20K on. Its blue book value is 18K. Any ideas on what i can do with this thing? i dont want to have the vehicle any more as i already have my own car. I also want to know if theres anyway out of this without it costing me a fortune??? any ideas???

I think you know the answer, sell it before it loses any more value. Take the loss and go on. There is the possibility to trade your car and the girl friends car in on a new one. If you do that though, you'll probably take a bath on both.

Get active and start spreading the word you have a car 4 Sale.

Place a for sale sign on the car. Sell it on eBay, place a ad in the paper, sell it to a friend. Trade in both cars, and get one. Donate it and claim it on your taxes for next year. Sell it to a family member, or co-worker. Don't let it sit for too long, it will lose it's re-sale value.

Sell it after talking with the finance company. Even if you have to take a two thousand dollar bath, it'll be a good lesson to look before you leap!
